There was enough classy fashion this season to indulge our nostalgia. If you keep up with resale, you'll notice that prominent brands from the time period, including Hugo Boss, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Armani, are witnessing an increase in demand.

You may once again look forward to baggy, stylish and low-rise jeans. The colourful fringe and painting designs turn getting all dressy into a creative pastime if you're seeking for apparel that makes you happy. Finally, if you just want to ensure that your newfound comfort never fades, use the emergence of the exposed bra as a clue to maintain your fashion objectives as comfortable and easy as you choose.

Renowned global designers visit fashion shows to look for inspiration and learn new trends. The New York Fashion Week displayed its Spring Summer 2022 Fashion Trends wherein fashionistas found new sources and explored different apparel styles. New fabric manufacturers and textile innovators attend the fashion week in huge numbers as new apparel styles are presented in these garment shows.

Retail buyers have the ultimate responsibility for selecting new fashion merchandise from the vast number of resources available. During fashion and market weeks, retail buyers visit various vendors to purchase merchandise that will satisfy customers needs and requirements. Hence, buyers consider their target customers preferences as well as their future requirements.

For example - buyers of Levi’s will know that skinny and straight fit jeans will be in fashion for the upcoming season. However, they may not purchase those jeans because Levi's targets middle-aged, somewhat conservative customers and skinny jeans style may not be a popular option among their target audience. On the contrary, brands targeting fashion forward people would like to opt for skinny fitting jeans.

Various factors can influence fashion. There have been times when fashion for camouflage prints and military wear reflects war. In Feb 2009, for the New York Fashion Week, Marcus Wainwright of Rag and Bone released a mini parade of military greatcoats and variations on the field jackets with multiple pockets in it. This led to growth of military style designs and became very popular at the fashion week. Below are the top 5 fashion trends explained for you to keep a note of your new year style statement!

#1 Bikinis and Swimwears

Despite the fact that the $5.3 billion US swimsuit industry has its own week, designers used NYFW to make an impact by including beach-ready garments in their presentations. Pat Bo and Pamella Roland featured one-pieces with coverups and head scarves, while swimsuit features provided sex appeal to other ensembles, emphasising the overall skin motif. Underneath a bandeau, Anna Sui wore a lace top. Brandon Maxwell wore patterned co-ords with a triangle bikini top. Maryam Nassir Zadeh wore khaki culottes with a string bikini top. The global pandemic led to people working from home and highlighted the importance of wearing comfortable clothes. Hence, designers created co-signing applications of the wardrobe in your closet. Bras and lingerie were the most favourite among working professionals. They were worn as the top half of a matched set by Michael Kors, and as the front half of an undone costume by Maryam Nassir Zadeh. As a result of the lack of opportunities to go out owing to Covid 19, the underwear worn as outerwear trend grew in popularity. The triangle bikini was the silent top star this season, whether layered beneath button-down shirts or worn alone with a little skirt.

#2 Canvas on Clothes

Spring Summer 2022 Fashion Trends\r\n

Yes, fashion is always art to some level, but this season designers used the runways as a more literal canvas. Cultural diversity has affected fashion by introducing and popularising various ethnic styles. For example - Asian movies invaded Hollywood in the early 1990s that inspired a preference for asian designs. Designers and fashion forecasters pay attention to major art exhibitions and historic costume exhibitions. For instance - an exhibit of paintings by Monet, Van Gogh or Matisse can influence seasonal colour palettes and textile patterns.

Spring Summer 2022 Fashion Trends completely covered the fronts of dresses and gowns with everything from abstract curves at Gabriela Hearst to more classic patterns at Rodarte and Thom Browne. The simplest way to join the trend is to purchase a shirt from your local museum.

#3 Black and White

Black and white, which are frequently considered "safe" hues, are far from dull this season. Designers employed clashing colours to create dramatic, patterned items in everything from Brandon Maxwell's swirls to Tory Burch's massive stripes. The message is simple: don't be scared to be a little graphic. Colour is a powerful tool in positioning apparel products in the marketplace. It has been identified as the design factor that most influences a consumer when he or she is making a purchasing decision. Brand image is also highly defined in terms of the colour. Colours also evoke symbolic associations so marketers carefully use the psychological power of colours to communicate with consumers. In developing a new collection of apparel products, the first step is to select a colour palette. Colour forecasting is conducted about two years in advance of the retailing season for new products. The decision about a seasonal colour palette is the basis for dyeing yarns and for designing fabric for all styles in line.

#4 Bubble Hems is back!

The bubble hem is back, as divisive as it is to accept. The reintroduction of the bubble hem in Spring/Summer 2022 adds a voluminous silhouette which has been seen in fashion in a long time. It's a mix of 1950s elegance and 1980s excess. While Christian Siriano went all out with citrus-hued dresses, Zero + Maria Cornejo kept it simple with only the upper half of the hem. With a strapless black satin dress, Adam Lippes took a basic approach. With a black high-low silhouette, Carolina Herrera takes it a step farther. Prabal Gurung and Duncan, on the other hand, showcased the design in its most wearable form: small party dresses and skirts. Carolina Herrera and Jason Wu, two of New York's most traditionally feminine design labels, favoured this voluminous, soft draping option. While the trend was largely seen in evening clothing this season, expect it to make its way into more casual styles as well. When it comes to combining simplicity with drama, designers maintain bubble hems in their sartorial toolkit. They churned up many dresses and skirts with puffy, space-consuming bottoms that will be sure to get lots of remarks from other party goers come March, in anticipation of a busy social calendar next season.

#5 Heavy Fringes

Now that you have more opportunities to go out and dance, learn about the latest trend that will make your celebrations even more joyful. Fringe accents gave dimension and excitement to the simple act of walking down the catwalk, whether they were subtle at Altuzarra or bold at Proenza Schouler. As an easy introduction to the trend for spring, look for soft knit dresses with fun bottoms. Instead of the delicate string cheese trimmings we're used to, designers like Proenza Schouler and Vaquera presented us with clothes that seemed like mop-like piles of shredded fabric. Fringe, which was normally kept for accessories or boho-esque looks, was seen in full force on the runways. Rodarte debuted party-ready sequined versions, while Jonathan Simkhai debuted neutral choices, so there will be plenty of options come spring.

The Spring 2022 activities spanned six days and included more than 90 runway presentations, a grand met gala, few VIP parties and pop up events. (Oh, and the MTV Video Music Awards in 2021 took place as well.) Fashion weeks have been entirely digital for the previous 18 months, and everyone was ready to work hard on the time lost before. Like any other New York Fashion Week, there were plenty of celebrity sightings, street style, new labels, and a meme-worthy seemed like it came directly to keep the spectators and the industry in general motivated and positive. Thankfully, we've rounded together all of the most talked-about events and collections, from Peter Do's fashion week debut to Azealia Banks on the runway.

Spring Summer 2022 Fashion Trends\r\n

Saint Laurent, Chanel, Versace, Dior, Fendace, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Balmain, Burberry, Michael Kors, Valentino, Erdem, Givenchy, Fendi, Gabriela Herst, Proenza Schouler, Chloe, Christian Siriano, Emporio Armani, Bora Aksu, Tom Ford, Simone Rocha, Brandon Maxwell, Alberta Ferreti, Altuzarra, Boss, Coach and Max Mara are the brands that participated in the New York Fashion Week 2022 displaying their best spring summer 2022 fashion trends. Each brand had a lot to express through its designs and collection. Michael Kors' SS22 collection was themed "urban romance," and it was basically a love letter to New York City as well as a celebration of fashion's "rebirth" with the resumption of a real-life catwalk display. Brandon Maxwell made a strong comeback to the catwalk, presenting a collection that was bright and colourful, as is typical of the designer, but also included prints, which was a first for him.
